How Does It Work?

The first step in a proper wheel balancing procedure is acquiring the wheel dimensions: distance (reference point on the balancer to the weight application point on the rim), diameter, and rim width.
Typically, the first two measurements are taken using a gauge, while the third can be entered manually or measured using an external gauge, Virtual Sonar, or Sonar. On balancers equipped with 3D Laser Scan, these dimensions are automatically detected within seconds when the wheel guard is closed.

During the correction phase, 3D Laser Scan identifies the exact position for applying adhesive weights inside the rim. Any errors in weight placement are eliminated thanks to the electromagnetic brake, which locks the wheel precisely at the unbalance position.

OPB: One plane balancing

How Does It Work?

If the right conditions are met, at the end of the measurement spin, One Plane Balancing automatically proposes a single ideal correction plane, indicating the exact point inside the rim where the wheel can be balanced by minimizing both static and dynamic imbalance using a single counterweight.

Hubmatch

How Does It Work?

The balancing process may sometimes not solve all steering wheel vibration issues.
Tyres must be balanced and also “round when rolling,” meaning they should not have high eccentricity, to ensure the vehicle moves without annoying vibrations.
HubMatch, in a single spin, detects the unbalance and the point of maximum eccentricity of the wheel, which is displayed on screen and guides the operator during wheel mounting so that the natural clearances between the rim and hub eliminate the eccentricity.

Side Laser

How does it work:

The Side Laser is a laser indicator integrated into the wheel guard, designed to ensure precise positioning of clip-on weights during balancing. By projecting a laser line onto the upper part of the wheel, the system visually guides the operator to place the weights exactly in the correct spot. This helps reduce placement errors and achieves more accurate and faster balancing.

LA Sonar

EMS Sonar

How Does It Work?

EMS (Eccentricity Measurement System) Sonar uses a high-precision ultrasonic sensor mounted near the rotating wheel to perform non-contact measurements of its outer surface.

As the wheel spins, the sensor continuously monitors the distance between the wheel’s center and its outer edge, collecting data across the full 360° rotation. These measurements are used to:

• Calculate the peak-to-peak eccentricity, i.e., the total radial deviation between the highest and lowest points of the wheel’s profile
• Analyze the first harmonic, the dominant sinusoidal component of the radial variation, which most influences vehicle vibrations
• Determine the angular position of the highest point (maximum radial deviation)

Automatic Positioning

How Does It Work?

At the end of the measurement spin, the wheel automatically stops exactly at the correction point. After completing the first plane correction, pressing the repositioning button automatically moves the wheel to the second correction point
